Section Awards
John J. Kennedy Transportation Professional of the Year Award
The John J. Kennedy Transportation Professional of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has displayed outstanding technical proficiency, developed a new concept or theory, or written articles or reports on key subject materials in the past year.
William P. McNamara Distinguished Service Award
The William P. McNamara Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, service, and contribution to ITE and the SENEITE section over the course of their career.
Transportation Project of the Year Award
The Transportation Project of the Year is awarded to a project within Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island that contributed to the betterment of communities with consideration for all transportation modes. At least one SENEITE member must have been involved and the design should be substantially completed by the end of 2023.
Emerging Professional Award
The Emerging Professional Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated high achievement in the transportation profession with no more than ten years of professional experience (post-undergraduate included).
Past President Award
The Past President Award recognizes the individual who presided over the Section in the previous year.
